The Terrifying Night

After the meeting Brenda invited Joe and Molly over for some coffee. She had a feeling that Jenny knew something. So she thought that if they came over, maybe that might make Jenny say something, or maybe Joseph and Molly might let something slip. If that were possible this would help lead the WIA in the right direction.

Joseph was angry, he couldn’t proceed with the new plan because of Jenny coming along, and he had to go with his first plan. But in order to do so he needed to scare Brenda by threatening Jenny.

But when should he do it?

He knew that if he wanted to succeed with his first plan that he needed to threaten Jenny tonight.

Joe and Molly sat on the couch, while Brenda and Jenny sat in the two available armchairs which sat across from Joe and Molly.

There was an awkward silence.

“So Jenny, Joe tells me that you’re quite the softball player,” said Molly.

“I’m alright.”

“Oh please, you’re great.”

“Thanks Joe.”

“I was never that good at baseball myself.”

Joseph knew that it was going to happen now.

“Well I guess baseball isn’t for everyone.”

“AND WHAT’S THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN?”

“Oh I get it, you’re playing another joke on me, very funny.”

“WHO’S LAUGHING,” shouted Joe as he walked over to Jenny.

“Oh sorry, I’m sure that you were a very good baseball player.”

“IS THAT SOME SORT OF CUT?”

“What?” asked Jenny, who wasn’t sure what to say.

Joe grabbed ahold of Jenny.

Brenda got up out of her chair.

“IS THAT A CUT!” screamed Joe angrily.

“GET YOUR HANDS OFF OF HER NOW!” demanded Brenda as she pulled Joe away.”

“BOTH OF YOU GET OUT OF MY HOUSE NOW!”

Brenda threw them out the door then locked it and ran over to Jenny.

“Jenny I’m so sorry are you alright?”

“I’m fine; I think that I’m just going to go to bed.”

“Are you sure you’re alright?”

“Yes.”

“Okay, I’m right down the hall if you need me.”

“Alright goodnight Brenda,”

“Goodnight,” said Brenda.

Jenny went to bed terrified if Joe went that crazy over one little comment she made. She wondered how he’d react to Brenda kicking him and his sister out.

Would this push him over the edge?

Is this where her dreams had been trying to lead her, or what they were trying show her?

Tonight as Jenny went to bed, she prayed for another vision, she needed to stop him before it was too late.
